Sirloin Steak Recipe Ingredients
  • 1 lg. sirloin steak
  • 1 lg. onion
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • 2 c. water

Brown sirloin on both sides. Pour can of mushrooms over steak. Put ringed slices of onions all over steak and cook on medium heat until water cooks out.




1. 4 top sirloin steaks,
2. ½ cup of Italian dressing,
3. ½ cup of red wine vinegar,
4. 4 red bell peppers,
5. 1/3 cup green onions chopped or sliced,
6. ¼ cup of water,
7. ¼ cup of white wine,
8. 2 bouillon cubes and enough hot water to dissolve the cubes, and
9. a small amount of vegetable oil.


We start with the Marinade

* Place the steaks in a dish with a cover,
* Mix the Italian dressing and the vinegar and pour it over the steaks,
* Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Turn about every 15 minutes to be sure that the marinade soaks into both sides of the sirloin steaks.

While the sirloin steak is marinating, cut one of the pepper into strips and chop the rest.

* Take a skillet and stir the chopped peppers, green onions, water and wine.,
* Bring the mixture to a boil and reduce heat.

Cover and allow simmering for 15 minutes. Now, you can grill your sirloin steaks and use the above sauce to pour over your steaks. Use the pepper strips to garnish. The sirloin steak recipe is ready to serve...enjoy !

  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 pound frozen shoestring potatoes
  • 5 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 scallions, trimmed, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 pound piece boneless sirloin steak (about 1 1/4 inches thick)

Heat broiler. Mix chili powder, garlic salt, red pepper, cumin in bowl. Toss potatoes, 3 tablespoons oil, scallions, 2 teaspoons spice mixture in a bowl. Place on baking sheet.

Brush both sides of meat with remaining 2 tablespoons oil. Rub remaining spice mixture over sirloin steak.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Cook potatoes on baking sheet on lowest rack in oven 12 minutes, turning halfway through. At same time, broil meat 4 inches from heat 4 to 5 minutes. Turn sirloin steak meat over. Broil 6 minutes (internal temperature 145 degrees F for medium-rare). Remove the meat from oven; let stand 5 minutes.

  • 4 (8-ounce) grass-fed sirloin steaks
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, or enough to coat the bottom of the pan
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed and left in skins
  • 8 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 2 medium shallots, very finely chopped
  • 1 pound spinach, cleaned

Put a large, heavy-bottomed skillet over high heat. While the pan is heating, season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.

Add the oil, making sure there is enough to coat the bottom of the pan. Add the steaks and sear on 1 side for 2 minutes. Turn them over and sear on the other side for 3 minutes. (This will cook the steaks to medium-rare.)

Lower the heat and add 3 tablespoons of the butter, the garlic, and thyme. Baste steaks with the melted butter on both sides for 1 more minute. Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest for 2 minutes.

While the steaks are resting, remove the garlic and thyme from the pan and wipe out the excess butter. Add the remaining tablespoon of butter and let it brown over high heat. Add the shallots and cook for a few seconds. Add the spinach and saute, stirring vigorously, until it is wilted, about 1 minute.

Put a bed of spinach onto each of 4 plates, place a steak on top, and the sirloin steak recipe is ready to serve...enjoy it !

Tomato Mushroom Sauce:
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chopped shallots
  • 1/2 cup corn kernels
  • 2 blue foot mushrooms, sliced (substitute white mushrooms or shiitake mushrooms)
  • 1 cup demi-glace
  • 6 sun gold tomatoes, halved (substitute: any yellow cherry tomato)
  • 6 sweet 100's tomatoes, halved
  • 1 tablespoon whole butter
  • 1 Idaho potato
  • 1 cup raw spinach
  • 1 red onion, julienned
  • A1 Ranch Dressing, recipe follows
  • 8 ounces grilled sirloin steak

Tomato mushroom sauce: Saute the garlic and shallots in olive oil until tender, about 4 minutes. Add the corn, mushrooms, and demi-glace and bring to a simmer. Reduce by 1/4. Add tomatoes and remove from heat. Swirl in whole butter and add salt and pepper, to taste.

Tom's Steak Fries: Place potato in salted, cold water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for approximately 20 minutes. Drain and cool potato. Quarter and deep-fry until golden brown. Season with salt and pepper.

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 finely diced shallots, or 1 white onion, finely diced
  • 1 1/2 pounds mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
  • 2 cups Marsala wine
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 1 tablespoon freshly chopped thyme leaves
  • 8 (8 to 10-ounce) New York Strip steaks
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 1/2 bunch fresh chives, chopped

Begin the Marsala sauce by heating the olive oil in a large saute pan. Cook the shallots (or onion) and mushrooms gently until they become translucent. Deglaze the pan with the wine and add the stock and fresh thyme. Allow to reduce by two-thirds.Link

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and season meat on both sides with salt and pepper. Sear the meat on both sides, and grill to about 128 degrees F internal temperature for medium-rare. Remove meat from grill and let rest.

  • 1/2 C. butter
  • 2 t. garlic powder
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 1/2 inch thick sirloin steaks

coarsely ground salt and pepper to taste

Preheat grill for high heat. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium low heat with garlic powder and minced garlic. Set aside.

Sprinkle both sides of each steak with salt and pepper. Lightly oil grate, and place meat on grill. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes per side. When done, transfer to warmed plates. Brush tops liberally with garlic butter, and allow to rest for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.

  • 2 1/2 - 3 lbs. sirloin steak
  • 3 T. butter
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 carrots sliced into rounds
  • 4 garlic cloves halved
  • 4 peppercorns
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 1/4 C. beef broth
  • 1/2 t. thyme
  • salt to taste
  • fresh cracked black pepper
  • 2 T. flour
  • 1/4 C. water
  • 1/2 C. dry red wine
  • 2 T. butter
  • 2 T. fresh parsley chopped

Remove steak from the refrigerator 1/2 hour before cooking.

To make the sauce:

Add the butter to a heavy skillet. Saute the onion until translucent. Add the carrots and cook until they are soft.

Add the beef broth. Tie up in cheesecloth, the garlic, bay leaf and peppercorns. Add the salt and thyme to the beef broth. Cook for 10 minutes.

Strain the broth and add it back to the pan. Add the flour dissolved in the water, stirring constantly. Stir in the wine and simmer over low heat while the steak is cooking.

Grill the steak over high heat. Turn after 10 minutes. Cook on the other side for 10 minutes, steak will be medium rare, or desired doneness. Remove to cutting board and allow steak to set for 5 minutes.

To finish sauce remove it from the heat. Add the parsley and the butter, cut into 3 pieces. Swirl the sauce while butter melts.

Slice steak on the diagonal in thin slices. Arrange the steak on a platter and pour the sauce over it. The sirloin steak recipe is ready to serves 4 -6 persons...nice ! Enjoy it !
